When I first saw it this morning, my first thoughts were “damn, that’s ugly”, and “who moved the poly count slider on the rendering farm to the bottom?”
Admittedly, there’s some interesting features- the air suspension is one, the fancy-pants ‘let’s store a ramp in the tailgate’ gimmick is another (bonus if they have a means to keep it working after running a quadrunner that’s covered in mud over it without it jamming up).
However, the cabin is… not inviting, especially for Tall, Fat, Leggy bastards like myself.
the exterior gives me pause as well, and not just in the aesthetics department, but rather in the ‘how much of a pain in the nethers will repairs be in the event some chucklehead decides to back into me’ area.
And finally- if I have a load in the back that requires me to put the tailgate down for travel (like hauling around full sheets of plywood), how are my rear lights going to operate? from those renders, it looks like I’m screwed in that department as well.
That feature where you can summon your car to you when in a parking lot should make for an entertaining video when the truck is parked off road in a dense forest.
In May 2011, Washington Post reported that Meyer was enrolled at law school in Florida after the incident gave him “a taste of the system”[11] and has written a book about his experience.
Yeah though I was thinking more about off roading along the bottom. But the car would have to flood. No way can you carry enough ballast out of the water to keep air inside the car. So I thought something more like a mini moke or an old military jeep.
Someone needs to shoop it to have low-res poly looking textures. Add a lens flare, flat horizon with 2d mountains in the background, and a 1996 copyright on the lower corner.
