I blame Catholicism’s then current corruption for Martin Luther and then kicking him out as opposed to taking his church door memo into careful consideration and looking at their own corruption; IE bought and paid for indulgences, priests and cardinals essentially siring families that then treated the clergy as an aristocracy, political influence upon the church, and the like.
Recommend we split this off from the larger topic if discussion is to continue.
