No, this is a real news story that highlights how stupid and dogmatic right wing religious fundamentalists are capable of being when what’s really needed is leadership and active organizing of assistance from wherever it may be offered. When you’re offered basic supplies and TRAINED, ABLE PEOPLE TO HELP you out of your massive jam, the smart thing to do is accept the help and start planning the specifics of staging and organizing the available options and actions that are now opened up for you. The people and supplies can be there in 48 hours. Sheesh.
