Clueless and out of touch. I’d still rather have someone who listens, which this statement indicates, than someone who is sure that they know everything.
Also, a person who personally is opposed to abortion, but is willing to ensure it’s legal and protected, is infinitely preferable to someone who’s trying to ban abortion and plans to move on to contraception next.
“While the university maintains that we have repeatedly endured selective and unfair treatment by the Department, the university also concurs there were numerous deficiencies that existed in the past. We acknowledge and regret these past failures and have taken these necessary improvements seriously.”
True, but only in the sense that the previous administration “selectively and unfairly” insulated you from consequences of your stupid actions. You are now cordially invited to fuck off and die, you piece of shit, you.
Meanwhile, Medicare price negotiations continue. The health department said that it will continue to negotiate in the coming months. If the government and the drug makers come to an agreement on prices, those prices will be announced on September 1, 2024, and will take effect at the beginning of 2026.
Excellent news!
ETA: Another one!
I cannot help but think the whole “uncommitted” movement had a hand in this one.
I am probably not going to be able to watch it all, but here is the live feed…
God damn, I really want to punch Mike Johnson in the face… what a smug, punchable face.
He’s sounding FINE, BTW…
I watched it. Seems to me that while Fux News can stitch together some stutters to make Biden seem old and doddering, he overall rose to the occasion. He handled hecklers well, and the overall tone struck me as rousing and believably optimistic.
I ended up watching the rest of it, but in the living room away from my computer…
I agree too. It was a good speech.
There was the one dude up in the gallery who got escorted out?
The February jobs report is out. 270,000 new jobs; well above the 200,000 predicted.
Yeah, I couldn’t tell what he was yelling…
Pure Propaganda:
Special counsel Robert Hur is testifying today in Congress over his report into President Biden’s handling of classified documents. Hur is no longer with the Justice Department, according to a department spokesperson.
He will be testifying about his investigation as a private citizen. As a private citizen he can accept money for smearing Biden.
I guess that speech really did go well!

He needs to check his pocket copy of the Constitution.
The address fulfills the requirement in Article II, Section 3, Clause 1 of the U.S. Constitution for the president to periodically “give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.”
You think they care about the Constitution? The one they want to “cancel?” They do not give one good damn for that, except when using it as a prop to violate its very precepts.
Well - if they’re going to be that way about it - how many divisions does Congress have? /s
“I judge it necessary and expedient to recommend to Representative Emmer that he go to hell.”
Murdoch says Biden’s market is better but…
Still effing better than trump’s. You’d think that would matter to some gQpers.
