Also, a person who personally is opposed to abortion, but is willing to ensure it’s legal and protected, is infinitely preferable to someone who’s trying to ban abortion and plans to move on to contraception next.

Meanwhile, Medicare price negotiations continue. The health department said that it will continue to negotiate in the coming months. If the government and the drug makers come to an agreement on prices, those prices will be announced on September 1, 2024, and will take effect at the beginning of 2026.

I watched it. Seems to me that while Fux News can stitch together some stutters to make Biden seem old and doddering, he overall rose to the occasion. He handled hecklers well, and the overall tone struck me as rousing and believably optimistic.

Special counsel Robert Hur is testifying today in Congress over his report into President Biden’s handling of classified documents. Hur is no longer with the Justice Department, according to a department spokesperson.
He will be testifying about his investigation as a private citizen. As a private citizen he can accept money for smearing Biden.

The address fulfills the requirement in Article II, Section 3, Clause 1 of the U.S. Constitution for the president to periodically “give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.”
