They local GOP here in GA are looking to create a flat tax, which is regressive taxation. Perdue (running against Kemp) is running on eliminating the state income tax altogether.

I’ve also seen plenty of GOP politicians talk about the need to raise income tax from people who are too poor to meet the income tax threshold.

In Canada, the minority gov Liberals and NDP are talking about some kind of deal that would allow them to cooperate on things like national single payer drug plan and dental, stuff that our current system doesn’t cover.
Naturally the interim leader of the Regressive Conservatives is angry that this somehow upsets the natural order of things.
