The Federal Aviation Administration said this week that airlines have reported more than 3,000 incidents involving unruly passengers since Jan. 1, with many involving passengers who refuse to comply with a federal requirement to wear face masks. The agency did not track such reports in prior years, but a spokesman said it was safe to assume this year’s numbers are the highest ever.
Since announcing a “zero-tolerance policy” against unruly passengers in January, the FAA has publicized potential fines — some topping $30,000 — against dozens of passengers and has investigated more than 400 cases. That is about three times the full-year average number of cases over the past decade, according to FAA figures.

If she’s an asshole, it’s at least partially likely because of the abuse she suffered as a young teenager. Doesn’t excuse her being a racist shithead, of course. Just pointing that out, though.

It also doesn’t excuse her normalizing it and perpetuating her abuse either though. I think the key thing for me with her is that I’ve never once heard her suggest she was wrong at any point.

The problem is that they were banned in the first place, though, when the material they pulled from was allowed to stand. They reinstated the account, because people noticed and made noise about it.

As far as I can tell, assholes can only get these laws passed under the pretense of prohibiting unlicensed distribution of food. Restaurants, soup kitchens and food banks have to be licensed or permitted, so outlawing the homeless to eat at them with or without a housed person would violate the First Amendment’s protection of free peaceable assembly.
Not that the NIMBY politicians who write these laws or the corrupt police who enthusiastically enforce them actually give a crap about the standards of food the homeless eat. They just want them to starve and suffer until they hope they’ll leave their town.
