Jesus was canonically a mutant (at least, according to Exodus, a superpowered mutant zealot he is so committed to repressing his homosexuality that he fought in the Crusades and has spent the rest of his life desperately searching for new messiah figures to latch onto in a totally not gay way).
(I personally love this bit of driving trollies, because people were genuinely flipping out about it when it was published, without considering that this is both totally in character for Bennet du Paris, and that Bennet du Paris is fucking crazy-ass religious zealout supervillain so why the hell would you take his word for any of this)
