Gawd, why is the Guardian paying any attention to that washed up toxic asshole?
I remember his awful play and movie about a woman and a professor. Arianna, maybe?
The point seemed to be, “See, women can have sexual power over men too ya know!”

Because he’s a genius! and Edgy… did I mention he’s an edgy genius! /s
Isn’t he a little old to be rebelling against his socialist parents? He’s got to be in his mid-late 70’s.
Hardly an age where some dude should be making believe they’re all manly man and flexing his muscles while driving his rascal scooter.
You’d think, but edgy dudes get away with it for their entire lives if they entertain other white dudes with money and validate their feelings about how society has gone to shit since Black people got to vote and women were given some freedom and the LGBQT+ community got some freedoms… I mean, they’re just harkening back to a time when men could be men, and they could pretend like the rest of us didn’t matter. /s
He should definitely have some flames painted on his rascal.
Part of it is that he also went Likud Zionist a decade or so back. I’ve seen otherwise liberal (which he is not) Jews go for Biff simply because he moved the embassy to Jerusalem and then twist themselves into pretzels to support his other policies.
Hopefully that helped you get that Bolus down
From the Guardian article:
He does not go back to see his plays revived either. So he didn’t catch Lucy Bailey’s recent, feted production of Oleanna, arguably his most controversial play, which is about political correctness, a university professor and an aggrieved student.
Yes, that’s the one, though that description tells me as much or more about the article’s writer as it does about the play. I’d write something like,
arguably his most whiny, reactionary play, which is about the made-up problem of political correctness, a university professor and a student with whom he’s demonstrated his lack of professional ethics by having sex.
And yet he still whines in the article that of course there’s no way he could write that play today, because of woke-ism.
rich people get a lot of mileage from the polite fiction that owning something is a profession
Damn. I was hoping he was going to give the response. I love those water park adventures.
I am just going to assume he is really home quarantining with a (or another? has he already had it?) case of covid and just putting on a brave face
How low can you go?
There’s no bottom.
These are Christian students, albeit from a minority sect. They only asked to be allowed to play 3 hours later on the same day. The other teams agreed to the time change. But no, they were told they had to go against their religion or else forfeit the state semifinals.
This is the world the Republican Fascists are trying to force us to live in.
