Nothing associated with Trump can ever be truly authentic. Even his real pee tape is still fake. He can’t tell reality from fiction, so his goal is to suck us into that same uncertainty.

i started to post about this in another BBS thread but deleted it because it just felt too gross and depressing. Fascinating on some level to imagine why and how someone would do this as convincingly as they did, but in the end sorta pointless and just a distraction from actual wrongdoing and profiteering he does every day.

Sounds like there’s an obvious flaw here - the real tape is said to be surveillance footage - that would have been filmed from a statically mounted spy camera. This one is described as shaky.

Who’s supposed to be operating the camera? If this were proper “kompromat” from a bugged-up Russian hotel room I’d expect it to be more like a surveillance video, shot from a fixed position focussed on the bed. Would Drumpf have a camera-person present for his home-made porn? Given his innate sexism, could that person be a woman? (Because I certainly don’t believe Drumpf would allow another penis-equipped human in the same room, given the inevitable embarrassing size comparison issues.) Also, when, during the Obama presidency, was Drumpf ever that slim? And why is he practically fully dressed? Shouldn’t he be in a bathrobe or something? He’s supposed to be in a room with a couple of hookers and he’s not intending to have sex with them? How likely is that?
Too many questions, way, way too many.

The article points out that the most damning evidence against it being authentic is that the room was renovated after the purported incident, and the video shows the new version of the room.

It is a hand-held camera filming a monitor of a static camera within the tv of the room, as if, while filming, someone in the control room taped it off the monitor with their phone.

We don’t actually know if the renovations happened before or after Trump. All other evidence says that YES, this is the actual room with women actually pissing on eachother/the bed while a man who looks just like Trump watches on, exactly as he is known to do (germaphobe). So either somebody spent tens of thousands of dollars reproducing the video, or the info about the renovations is incorrect and this is real.

I’ve been saying, from day one, that the GOP needs to keep pushing out fake video after fake video to create so much confusion that should real footage ever surface, it will be neutralized.

From what I saw the original video IS shot from a fixed position, and the zooming-in we see is being done by someone filming that video as it is played on another screen. In other words, it’s like if you posted a clip from The Simpsons to youtube by filming your TV with your phone, and for some reason decided to zoom in on Grampa Simpson multiple times.
That said, I would still suspect it’s part of a viral campaign for some Trump-themed porno. I also consider that Putin may have commissioned the creation of a fake too, but I’m not sure how that would benefit him, even if he had no original pee tape (it’s the threat that makes the tape powerful, a fake dilutes that.)
