Meh. It wasn’t well handled, but it’s unlikely there was ever going to be a positive outcome in the first place.
It’s somewhat clear that NK was going to use it as a ploy to extract concessions, and it wasn’t truly done in good faith. At this point playing hardball might be the best option.
