Still it sounded better than having a bunch of folks risk the lives of the elderly and immune compromised just to see The Chainsmokers out of all possible acts in the world.

Didn’t you mean “people in heavily-armored hazmat suits serve me”? Right now it sound very dehumanizing to restaurant workers. I may be wrong though, I’m not a native speaker.
