The version I was taught was someone who was ill who turned away a nurse, a doctor and a surgeon before they died.
Maybe that version only works when you are in a country with a health care system available to all.

Someone should have asked that woman: if thousands of surgeon doctors and assistants wore the same masks for hours every day, every year, during all their often decades long careers, even well before Covid, why aren’t they all dead or severely intoxicated by now.

In the interests of intellectual consistency; should we be verifying that all advocates of “God’s perfect breathing system” have never undergone a tonsillectomy or other desecration of said breathing system; and stone to death the ones that have?
