I get so tired of the IANALists going on about IANAL this and IANAL that, bringing their lack of lawyerness into every conversation as if they are somehow morally superior. It has put me right off not being a lawyer and Iām considering applying to law school.

Plus, it discriminates against people who are pretty much lawyers for all intents and purposes, except for the fact that they havenāt passed the bar exam yet. IHNPTBE(Y)* is much better.

For the list: 1 level generalised - social norms in the UK are not the same as social norms in the USA/Canada. Sometimes this is for environmental reasons, and sometimes it is a quirk. Example of environmental reasons would be the presence or absence of large cats, wolves, bears, birds of prey that can easily predate on the domestic catā¦

Careful, youāll start a meta-argument. Canadians do not like being lumped in with our angry down-there neighbours on most things beyond basic logistics like which side of the road we drive on or whether deliveries come in a lorry or a truck.
Itās getting to be a bit much, frankly. Weāre thinking about building a wall.

I do like the satire where Canada describes its southern neighbour the way the USA describes Mexico. (Before anyone takes this the wrong way, itās satire, itās not supposed to be representative of all Canadians or Americans)
