They talk about the Permian Basin as if it were the sole concentration of fracking activity in the state. In fact, most of the state sits on top of various shale basins. The entire southern part of Texas is the Eagle Ford basin, for example â pronounced âeagle-furdâ as if one word â Haynesville in eastern Texas, Barnett in the northern part, etc. And they are all actively involved in fracking activities.
