This leakproof, double walled water bottle really keeps stuff cold

Has anyone used that cup since Ralph Cramden?

Wait, how do you spell Cramden? Am I just making that name up? Is anything real anymore?

The cup is meant to be lost.

Kramden. It’s an anagram of Denmark.

Yup. There’s a reason why water coolers are standard equipment on Australian military vehicles.

OTOH: what I used to do when I was a bush regenerator (heavy physical outdoor work, Australian summer) was to carry a couple of non-insulated bottles of completely frozen water each day. Start the day with a solid iceblock-in-a-bottle, sip the chilled water out of it gradually as it melts.

It stops you from chugging your entire water supply too early in the day, and is also handy for use as a personal icepack (hold it against a major artery for maximum cooling; throat, inner elbow, etc). I’d usually bring two; one I carried with me, the other one I left in my bag with my lunch. Drink the first one before lunch, then enjoy a pleasantly chilled lunchtime sandwich before using the second bottle in the afternoon.

A popular misconception.

Those are all in suspiciously pristine condition!

Fuel bottle for size?

[Off-topic]

The shortest night has already passed. It is no longer prudent for Asparagus officinalis to be dug up! No soup for you, Sir or Madam, as you should definitely know! If you proceed, you will be excommunicated from the Church of Asparagus officinalis for that, and your pee shall henceforth smell of elderberry and rotten fish!

On topic:
How is that thing slip proof, and would it still be when wet?

Also, again [OT] @FGD135: careful, don’t turn on that induction field. Then again, are there some bottles which could be used to re-heat my tea using and induction stove, I wonder? Outer wall stainless, inner container with a lining of aluminium? Hmmm… What happens if I hear something up in a near vacuum… I should ask my old SEM colleagues about this… [/OT]

The finish is slightly pebbled/matte and its grippy-ish with wet hands.

Some kind of coating? Or roughly sandblasted and the enamelled? I looked it up online, and it says “powder coated” (as is my bike frame, which is awesomely durable coated), but I’m not versed enough to say if this could be used to make it grippy-ish when wet.

might be textured by blasting!

If you take good care of your stuff, your stuff will take good care of you.

Not an induction stove, just your regular CeranTM thingy.

An asparagus soup shall be made as long as the greengrocer’s still has some fresh one.

Translation: no kids or teens in your home!
