If they faced consequences for said for threats it would be great but doubt much will come of it.

  1. Treason has a very specific meaning in US law. It means waging war against the United States, or giving comfort or aid to the enemy of the United States. And not just some generic “enemy”, but some entity we’re actively at war with. Even if FEMA were guilty of not fulfilling their Constitutional duties, which they absolutely are not, that wouldn’t be treason.
  2. A US citizen accused of treason is still entitled to due process, especially when said alleged treason occurs on US soil. You can’t just execute them on the spot.
  3. If someone did do that (executing a government official on the spot without any formal adjudication or even formal charges), that person possibly could be guilty of treason.
  4. Jesus fucking Christ, we live in the absolute dumbest fucking timeline. Social Media has to get this under control. They are private entities. They do not have to allow any of this speech. They can delete misinformation and disinformation in a heartbeat, and they can ban the users who spread it. It’s hard, because there’s so much of it. But there’s also so much of it because they have ignored it for so long.

Yeah, no. The last thing I need is more of a bombardment of junk emails, texts, and real mail during this or any other political cycle. You can check your voter registration status without signing up for tons of junk at your state’s appropriate website. For NC it was www.ncsbe.gov and I only had to provide my first and last name…

A recent caller to “The Dan Abrams Show” on Sirius/XM detailed how his father-in-law, who lives in flood-ravaged Asheville, North Carolina, is refusing aid from FEMA because he believes if he does, the federal government will assume ownership of his home.

The chain of falsehoods has also led to fears of violence. NPR reported that, on X, one post warned that FEMA employees would be shot if they “continue blocking/seizing aid.” Another post, since removed, called for militias to resist FEMA. Each post received more than one million views.

People will die because of this bullshit.

I never give out my personal info our agree to ToS like that, but the vote.org page has links to each state’s registration sites. Also it doesn’t require you to enter your phone number to check all states for you, so :person_shrugging:

Same thing happened with the Maui wildfires… it’s really hard to tell where “right wing agitators” begins and foreign national disinformation campaign ends. It’s like the two groups finally realized they have the same goal, destabilize the US and instill mistrust in the government.

I’m not sure that’s better since it implies they have already done the leg work for getting the links to each appropriate state page, but then start you with the option of getting spammed by them. Instead they could just have asked you which state you should be registered in and taken you directly to that page.

They have the same goal (far-right dictatorship), but what you described is just the means to the end.

Scratch an “anti-government” right winger, and a fascist bleeds.

iwillvote.com (from the dnc) seems nice

They used the euphemism “unalived” for the word ‘killed’ in their death threat post; that means the poster is aware they could be banned, if the website deigned to do so.

It’d take TFG a half hour out of his day to make this not be a thing, but he’d rather keep his people enraged.

A fellow was stuck on his rooftop in a flood. He was praying to God for help.

Soon a man in a rowboat came by and the fellow shouted to the man on the roof, “Jump in, I can save you.”

The stranded fellow shouted back, “No, it’s OK, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me.”

So the rowboat went on.

Then a motorboat came by. “The fellow in the motorboat shouted, “Jump in, I can save you.”

To this the stranded man said, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.”

So the motorboat went on.

Then a helicopter came by and the pilot shouted down, “Grab this rope and I will lift you to safety.”

To this the stranded man again replied, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.”

So the helicopter reluctantly flew away.

Soon the water rose above the rooftop and the man drowned. He went to Heaven. He finally got his chance to discuss this whole situation with God, at which point he exclaimed, “I had faith in you but you didn’t save me, you let me drown. I don’t understand why!”

To this God replied, “I sent you a rowboat and a motorboat and a helicopter, what more did you expect?”

Junior is doing his part. If you accept 750 bucks your house will be totalled and you will get no more help.

People threatening violence towards the ones trying to save their lives infuriated me during the pandemic, and now it seems to be the new norm for any disaster. The death cult’s goals grow ever more overt. Anyone caught helping rather than harming is at risk, disaster or not, from rescue workers to librarians, doctors to teachers, firefighters to scientists.

I’d like to think that all the fine people making the threats are far outside the hurricane area, but these days, who knows?

And daddy is doing his part.

It has just come out that Democrats in Washington and the Democrat Governor’s Office of North Carolina (Roy Cooper) were blocking people and money from coming into North Carolina to help people in desperate need. Biden knew about it, and so did Kamala! It’s all over the place – A HORRIBLE SITUATION. I will make it up to everyone when we take Office on January 20th. HOLD ON, I’M COMING!
