So what do you think it means when the Repubs try to put up an LGBTQ rights bill? Even if it is incomplete and kinda sucky, it might suggest that they are starting to think that alienating the entire community and those who love them is perhaps not the winning issue they thought it might be?
I think that theyâre trying to derail actual equality.
Itâs a way to stop any bill from going forward.

They want to divide the community so that when it doesnât pass - they can say it wasnât them.
And they get to weaken the community through that division. Weâve seen this many times. In PA they said they could support a bill without public accommodations for trans people- divided the community and got some orgs to support this âcompromiseâ and the Dems.
Then they just said no.
