Well, it’s finally happened. No dogwhistles anymore, the potential for genocide is there for everyone to see.

Pornography, manifested today in the omnipresent propagation of transgender ideology and sexualization of children, for instance, is not a political Gordian knot inextricably binding up disparate claims about free speech, property rights, sexual liberation, and child welfare. It has no claim to First Amendment protection. Its purveyors are child predators and misogynistic exploiters of women. Their product is as addictive as any illicit drug and as psychologically destructive as any crime.

Pornography should be outlawed. The people who produce and distribute it should be imprisoned. Educators and public librarians who purvey it should be classed as registered sex offenders. And telecommunications and technology firms that facilitate its spread should be shuttered.

Will people stop ridiculing the idea of transgender genocide now?

I am fucking exhausted, and I only woke up an hour ago. I am going to read Blessed Is The Flame again.

When the American Enterprise Institute calls this an “authoritarian fantasy,” you know they have gone 'round the bend. The Heritage Foundation has always been fascist-lite, they’re just dropping the facade now.

After misinformation spread about its gender-affirming care program, Washington University in St. Louis has come under intense scrutiny. Under a new Missouri law banning such treatments for new patients, the university’s Transgender Center has decided not to prescribe medications to minors going forward.

This is just heartbreaking.
“Please remember that all kids deserve the protection of the state,” Mary, a Nebraska mother and one of the letter’s signatories said in a comment. “Laws that increase self-loathing and suicide are wrong.”

The fascists have been quite open about wanting to declare trans existence as pornographic and subject to draconian penalties. Let no one believe that The Heritage Foundation is only an influence on federal policy. Through ALEX, it influences state legislation where ever Republicans have sufficient control to get it through. And their express aim is to eliminate LGBTQ+ existence. I will remind everybody, that’s 20% of Gen Z. But they have to do it now, because demographics are against them. We need to hold them off. Once more, into the breech, dear friends! Or close up the wall with our mutant dead!

I don’t think leopards applies here. She made an effort to make a difference. I’d have predicted it doomed, but there’s no joy in being Cassandra.

Kim Hutton was leading a charge to bring gender-affirming care to the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis when she agreed to get lunch with a skeptic. She met Dr. Paul Hruz, a pediatric endocrinologist at the university, in October 2013 at a cafe near campus, hoping that if she shared her struggles to find suitable health care for her young trans son, he would change his mind.

But Hruz was not there to listen.

No sooner did she sit down than he launched into a breathless lecture on “God’s plan” for her son. “I can’t begin to count the number of times he said, ‘If only you will read the writings of Pope John Paul II on gender, you will understand,’” she recalled.

Hruz made it clear he would try everything in his power to stop the medical school’s new gender clinic. When Hutton pleaded that trans kids were more likely to have suicidal thoughts without affirming care, he replied, “Some children are born into this world to suffer and die.”

Hruz is part of a small but prolific roster of expert witnesses who crisscross the country to testify in defense of anti-trans laws and policies facing a legal challenge. Pulling ideas from the fringes of medicine, their purpose is to convince judges that gender-affirming care is scientifically controversial, unnecessary and dangerous.
