Tampon tussle
Finnish hygiene product company Vuokkoset’s release of a “male tampon” is generating international interest, according to Ilta-Sanomat.
The product, which appeared on shelves this autumn, is similar to traditional tampons, but the package reads “For men.”
Vuokkoset, which came out with the tampons during international transgender awareness week has said, “periods aren’t just an issue for women, as trans men and non-binary people may also have a womb and periods.”
IS cites The Telegraph’s reporting that the product has been criticised by feminist campaigners as an “insult” to women who suffer period discrimination.
Dakota Robin, a transgender man and the face of Vuokkoset’s campaign, said he was saddened by this reaction.
“Stores are filled with products targeted at women, and these tampons are just a small fraction of the entire range of menstrual products. Tampons designed for men and non-binary individuals do not take anything away from women’s products.”

I guess that’s more evidence that the LGB alliance are mostly heterosexual. What gay clubs have they been to where there aren’t any trans people? I need to know so I can avoid going there, it sounds like a crap night out.

Think about it for a moment. When a young person is actually suffering from cancer, is it normal to mock them for wanting “a social cause to make themselves feel special or unique?” Of course not, to do so would be monstrous. But Kelly, and the Washington Examiner, see no tension between this pose of concern and the belittling tone Kelly uses to describe the very people she claims to be so concerned about.
This is because this asshat is not equating trans kids with kids with cancer, she is equating them to the cancer. How do you treat cancer? By eliminating every single instance you can. This is the unspoken (well, ok, loudly spoken by some) agenda here. Trans individuals must be eliminated. And do not for a moment think that they would be satisfied with doing so. Anyone who disagrees with them must be eliminated. And there will always be an out group. Fascism cannot survive without one. And yes, eventually, Megyn, it will be you. You are a professional woman. This is not acceptable. The leopards will eat your face too. Just not first.

This has gotta be the most mis-informed take on trans people in sports I’ve ever seen. Nobody transitions to win at sports. Nobody. It’s a made up thing, and this nincompoop is saying we’ll switch back if we can’t play sportsball because he believes that’s the reason people transition? Hell no, I’d rather die than be forced to pretend to be a man again.

Mis-informed probably isn’t the best word to use, it’s misinformation though. There is a pretty wide-spread belief out there in TERFlandia that some people transition to win at sports. I’ve seen it online for years, and many earnestly believe it, despite there being no advantage to actually doing so (I went from mid-range strength for men, to mid range strength for women in the 2.5 years I’ve been on HRT), and it probably inducing horrific dysphoria in most cis people who would try it.
