Some people need to keep way more distance between their firearms and their sex lives.
Read that headline a few times then a couple more.
Took me 4 to fully parse
If America could just leave behind its puritanical prudishness about sexuality it would solve so many problems.
Although police brutality probably wouldn’t be one of them.
yeah, the chief didn’t get the memo about not mixing business and pleasure
Burke also has some weird ties to the Long Island serial killer.
I think that Venn diagram is just a circle.
The last part my brain had wrong was why was he in handcuffs and in the police chief’s car with the duffel bag. I knew the headline would have been different if the police chief had him cuffed in the car ready to use the non-gun contents of the bag.
The milliseconds between reading and understanding some headlines and the errors thrown out into my brain probably says something about me. Probably not a good something.
Oh dude, no worries, you won’t die alone in prison, lots of other dudes will be there with you!

No exactly, but if we thread all my BB posts together, I sure some lost soul would benefit from the collective wisdom!
Imagine what the suspect could have stolen had he not been handcuffed.
So… The DA went to jail for the cover up.
What happened to the cop?
Not mentioned: where IF did this happen? Ohio? Georgia? California?
I’m sure it made good local news in places where “Suffolk County” is nearby. For the rest of the USA (much less international readers) not so informative.
IKR There is a Suffolk here in Va. Pretty rural place and that duffel bag would be a bit extreme for the area.
“Burke was sentenced to 4 years.”
Burke is (was) the cop. Spota, the DA, got 5 years for the cover-up.
Parsed correctly for me on the first pass. Which, considering the headline, might actually be something to worry about.
