Eh? Not intentionally
did I insult you?? My apologies–certainly didn’t intend that to be the message.

I was thinking along the lines of Ms. Cegielski clearly lacking the necessary amount of scruples (as a freakin self-described “policy wonk”, no less) to make one of the most obvious leaps in American politics, namely, that Donald Drumpf is not “Presidential material” or even anywhere near it.

However, if you still feel that your honor has been pricked, then we shall meet on the Yooge battlefield to settle the matter. Your choice of weapon: pancakes without syrup; golf balls and trashcan lids; or, witty reparte’.

I recommend you go for the first or last choice, 'cause Trent from second grade will verify that I’m damn near deadly with the middle.

One does wonder a bit, though, if someone from the mainstream party visited her and pointed out that Trump would be at best a one term President, she has a lot more working years ahead of her, nice little PR firm you got here, wouldn’t want it boycotted would you?

Right. Because conservative thought has obviously done that with regard to women as a whole. I wish them the best of luck in that regard.[quote=“Vert, post:84, topic:75798, full:true”]

Riiiiiggghhhhttttt because all conservatives are misogynists, yet no liberal is

Caricatures of either side serve not purpose other than preventing empathy, growth, and understanding.

And yes, actually, I saw a poll and YOUNG republicans are MUCH more accepting of gays than the OLDER ones. It is a generational issue that will change as social norms change. The problem is you can’t legislate what is in your heart and they know this. You can legislate what your tax dollars are spent on.

Touché! Shit. It was over before it began.

From the article:

"Mr Lewandowksi is absolutely innocent of this charge," the Trump statement said. "He is completely confident that he will be exonerated."

I’m a little surprised Drumpf backed off on this–usually the quote goes, “We are confident that XXX will be exonerated
”

Eventually, in a few years, when all the olds have died. Honest!

Strategy. Or tactic (I always mix those two up  ).

The next one won’t be until Herr Commandant Drumpf, Commander for Life, shuffles off this mortal coil

Please underline the caricature I postulated. Oh, wait, I didn’t do any such thing. That anyone would point to conservative thought

As for conservative thought standing up for 1) how well the USG is run, or 2) women’s rights, or the rights of anyone not white, hetero, and male
I’ll let you stun me with a list of forward-thinking conservative thought leaders holding those particular attitudes because I think it will be a short list. Not a short-fingered vulgarian list, mind you, but a list nonetheless.

Also, as all the polls show, they aren’t a majority-- Trump wins primaries with only 35% of the GOP vote, so it’s about 1/3rd of roughly 1/2 of the voting public-- he doesn’t even have a majority of the Republican party.
