It was personal matters that meant he had to leave the state, if I’m recalling correctly. It had nothing to do with Greene.
“Personal matters” is more polite than “No way am I going to run against that loon and her ammosexual supporters! Fuck this state, I’m out of here!”
At the time, he said it was due to family issues. And he DID actually have personal issues, including a marriage falling apart (exacerbated by the campaign, but still).

She’s not even from the 14th… she’s from the 6th, which is Rep. Lucy McBath’s district.

And then there is Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Georgia Republican who is perhaps the most unabashedly pro-QAnon candidate for Congress and has drawn a positive tweet from President Trump. She recently declared that QAnon was “a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take this global cabal of Satan-worshiping pedophiles out.”
Space Lasers weren’t mentioned, though.
