It’s this one for me.
No one was taking loving pictures of trans people and their families back then. If I remember correctly- they lived in a trailer park. She was a single parent.
Though for pretty pictures you can’t beat Lady and Laura, at the Las Vegas Club, Havana. What a beautiful couple.

Transformations was originally titled Transformations: Crossdressers and those who love them
I think.
But - language evolves- and everyone in the book didn’t identify as that. Many transitioned.
