Treasonous Bundy-led militia prepare to open kangaroo court

So, remember this?

turns out the rancher whose cause the bundys were allegedly aiding denies involvement, and has repaired the damage.

Or maybeā€¦ Hell, free dildos! Who wouldnā€™t smile?

I mean itā€™s not like theyā€™re used dildos of questionable provenance. These are brand spanking new dildos in the package!

Maybe heā€™s dreaming that if he gets enough of them he can fill a gymnastics style foam pit with only dildos in itā€¦

The adolescent in me wants to melt down some exlax into chocolate bunnies to help them with their snack problem.

What group thatā€™s paranoid about being killed by immoral government agents accepts food donations from unknown sources? This is why I know that they think theyā€™re perfectly safe.

ā€œTreason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.ā€
ā€“Constitution of the United States, Article II, section 3.

Unless they have made a declaration of war there is no way that this constitutes treason. Unless waving guns around and scaring people constitutes war. It is worth noting that no one has ever been convicted of Treason against the United States under this standard.

Yeah. Itā€™d be more accurate to call it sedition.

They are occupying Federal land, by force. They have co-opted and destroyed Federal property. This is an attack against the duly elected government of the United States of America, which constitutes war.

They are also setting up an independent government, on US soil, with the intent of trying United States, or State of Oregon, officials for crimes they will not disclose.

Perhaps youā€™ve come to think of War as the thing we did ā€œon drugs?ā€

No, they are in open rebellion against the government of the United States of America. They can claim to be representing the Constitution, but that is not their job. No one elected them to office or nominated them to the supreme court. They are not inciting rebellion, theyā€™ve started one.

They have attacked a government installation and taken it with deadly force. They were and are armed. Regardless of our government compassionately rolling over before an inferior force, apparently to avoid a blood bath, it does not change the traitors actions or intent.

But, but, only Congress can declare war. Right?

ā€¦(crickets)ā€¦

Right?

If we are going to war, yes. Other people can declare war on us without the permission of OUR Congress.

These traitors reject the laws of the United States of America. They have taken US property by force, which is an attack on the US government. They openly deny the authority of the US government, regardless their insistence they are more closely adhering to OUR constitution.

Last time someone did this in a sizable manner President Lincoln reacted very strongly.

When the New York Times was just a wee laddie at 10 years old, they published this. In 1861.

Treason has ever been deemed the highest crime which can be committed in civil society; since its aim is an overthrow of the Government and a public resistance by force of its just powers, its tendency is to create universal danger and alarm, and on this account it has often been visited with the deepest public resentment. Hence, by the common law, the the punishment of high treason was accompanied by all the refinements in cruelty which were oftentimes literally and studiously executed. But under the Constitution of the United States the power of punishing the crime of treason against the United States is exclusive in Congress; and the trial of the offence belongs exclusively to the Federal tribunals. A State cannot take cognizance or punish the offence, whatever it may do in relation to the offence of treason committed exclusively against itself.

I think this incident has satisfied the requirements in bold sufficiently well for the court of public opinion.

There has to be a formal declaration of war for someone to be treasonous? Quick, somebody call Julius and Ethel Rosenbergā€™s lawyer!

Donā€™t I know it. I guess what Iā€™m saying is I donā€™t respect these jackasses enough to give them that satisfaction. They are morans and criminals, with a child like understanding of governance.

@shaddack and I could smoke them out in an afternoon. (Air drop a couple cases of Jack Daniels and the problem will solve itself. Yes, I am a bad person.)

Itā€™s almost interesting until they put a photo of someone I care about on a ā€œwantedā€ poster or common law warrant.
