Wow, that statement from Mnuchin is misleading. He makes it sound like this company employs 30,0000 truckers and has 200,000 corporate customers. It doesn’t. It can’t. Just doing the numbers from the pre-drop value of ~$430M, they might employ 1,000 to 2,000 full-time truckers, and that’s only if they run very lean on all the rest of their employees and their executive staff are paid well below standard. What those numbers are more likely to mean is that they do 30,000 individual loads per year and have, over the past decade or so, issued 200,000 invoices to companies, with lots of repeat business to the same ones over and over.

- You would think you could make a viable business out of 68% of DoD business.
- The fact that the govt. has taken over part of this business after it failed might indicate that we shouldn’t outsource military logistics.
- Our old Yellow rep said that when they did the Yellow/Roadway merger, they took the best parts of each company and destroyed them, then combined the steaming pile of garbage that was left.
