I’m sure the sub-contractor levels will be multiple. It will cost the taxpayers $20MM/mile, but the amount of money going into the physical wall will probably be $2MM/mile.

I agree that less money going to an already over-bloated US military is not bad thing, per se… but even parts of border walls being built is VERY bad. And then there’s the little matter of the lie 45 told, that he could “make the country of Mexico pay” for his stupid wall.

It is a better outcome! While most of that $3.6b in taxpayer money will still be funneled to the same secret kleptocratic oligarchs in either case - this way we get a monument to memorialize it!

I think a lot of that money was slated for base improvement projects that would improve quality of life for our military members, many of whom happen to be poverty stricken.

There comes a point where a man goes from merely violating the law to presenting a clear and present danger. If a police officer walked into a 7/11 in the middle of the night and found an insane old man holding a gun on the store clerk, no one would wait for a grand jury investigation or an indictment – the officer would merely neutralize this threat as quickly and efficiently as possible. Currently we’re being threatened by a demonstrably crazy old sociopath holding the biggest goddamn gun on the planet, America’s nuclear arsenal. Enough talk about impeachment – the Secret Service needs to wrestle this madman to the ground, slap on the cuffs, and fly him to Guantanamo.
