As always Trump‘s refusal to acknowledge that there could be any daylight between “Israeli“ and “Jewish person“ is a clear example of the antisemitic “dual loyalties” trope.
In this line of thinking Jewish people can never be fully American—or loyal citizens of any country other than Israel—because they will always be Israelis first and foremost.
