I remember all of this “he is losing, he’s so unhinged, what he just said/did will never be forgiven” rhetoric in 2015-2016. He had zero chance of winning. The only person (or certainly the only well known person on the political left) who predicted his win was Michael Moore.

His team should demand 2 things if there is even going to be a next debate:
- The participant who is not responding directly to a question has their mic cut pre-emptively or when their time runs out;
- Secret Service is on standby with tranc darts ready to take down either participant if one leaves his podium.

Well, yeah, no surprise. Even if you disagree with Pope Francis on a lot of things, it’s clear that he’s a very intelligent man who is deeply and sincerely religious. He does not want Trump and the corrupt scum coalesced around him using either him or the Catholic Church as props.
