Trump 'body man' John McEntee abruptly fired, escorted from White House for 'security reasons'

TBH, you probably haven’t loved someone who is losing their mind… but, yeah, I get what you’re thinking.

so, what you’re saying is that it’s entirely likely that McEntee is taking the fall for tRump for some sort of bank fraud or wire fraud…?

Before it happened to me, a co-worker referred to it as “walking the green mile”.

It could provide guidance. Especially Der Tragödie zweiter Teil.

Looks like Trump has dangled a carrot in the form of a roll in the 2020 campaign for McEntee. That may be weak medicine when it comes to ensuring loyalty.

Good ol’ hungryjoe, always thinking about food. :yum:

Does hungryjoe’s appetite not include orange colored root vegetables?

Mit Euch, Herr Doktor, zu spazieren
Ist ehrenvoll und ist Gewinn

Yes, I’d be very interested in your views on this.
I’ve ploughed through every version almost, OMG, 35 years ago at school, and I think I’ve enjoyed it. Still got some nice hardcover editions on the bookshelf. My notes and essays must be kicking around somewhere as well. Around that time I also knew a guy who was writing his PhD thesis on Goethe’s Farbenlehre who gave me some pointers.
I should did out my old stuff and take a look, when I find the time…

Ach Gott! die Kunst ist lang;
Und kurz ist unser Leben.

Stealing is okay, but he stole money Trump wanted to steal.

Well, mit Kunst kann man sich nicht die Zähne putzen, but FII is definitely one of the most unreadable and still most perfect pieces of German language art I ever had the privilege to read and discuss.

Also, it includes the whole world. Trump is definetly in there. And it still ends well, kind of.
It also has rhythm, which Trump has not. He just got some beats. They aren’t even off-beat, it’s just random beats.

Oh, and I’m not sure about the pact. Mephistopheles is a rather charming guy, but none of the current actors - Putin included - has the necessary esprit. Not even esprit d’escalier, as far as we can tell. Treppenwitz, however, is a fitting description for the whole thing, especially considering this “aide” and Tillerson getting fired quite unceremoniously on the same day.

I don’t even.
I wonder what proper artists would have to say about this. People of Goethean stature. But I think we will have to wait for some time until the dust settles and we see more clearly if this clusterfuck of an administration leads to some great new art. Difficult times sometimes do that.

I’m saying it’s not surprising for DHS to investigate financial crimes, and they wouldn’t necessarily be related to anything like international terrorism. Though the fact that the Trump campaign immediately hired him sure makes it look like they’re paying him off to keep quiet about something.

100% of his casinos have gone bankrupt

If nothing else, that one astounds me the most- How the hell does one manage to have a casino go bankrupt?!?!? People are literally giving you their money in large quantities.

He made the Atlantic City casino-resort go bankrupt. The casino part would have profitable enough even with the complete lack of due diligence regarding Indian casinos and even with the loss of the casino management team in a plane helicopter crash (that’s how easy it is to make money with a casino license).

The problem came in when this taste-impaired egomaniac also decided to shovel the sum of those profits and then some into making the other aspects of the resort – the hotel rooms, the food and beverage, the shows, the pool, the meeting rooms, the restrooms, etc. – “the classiest, really the best and most luxurious.” This in a seedy town where the only tourists are degenerate gamblers who are more than happy to sleep in their cars and pee in an adult diaper while they spent 80% of their stay on the casino floor pulling a slot machine lever.

It was only a matter of time before the whole business went under. That’s the level of stupidity and incompetence at work when it comes to this grifter who sells himself as a business genius.

Wow that doesn’t sound at all suspicious. Is it?

There are a lot of small aircraft crashes (this one was a helicopter - edited above), so who knows? Whatever caused it, only a true scumbag would exploit such a disaster for his own ends…
