Haha I guess I am assuming “AI being weird sometimes” was the null hypothesis? You know, in the absence of anyone who - say - was aware of historical precedent for teletubbies in the KKK?
It’s just spitting out what it’s learned, based on what you input, that much we know. I don’t know if that’s a “null hypothesis” or not, but that much is clear about all the AI products being used to pump out boring, context free “art” that merely seems weird on the surface.
And of course now that there is a shit ton of “AI art” online, AI generators are just going off that, in part.
