Trump denies Stormy Daniels claims via WH Press Sec, but hasn't tweeted a word

Classic “Schrödinger’s Cathouse” scenario.

I can’t even see it amounting to that.

I think Trump could Boink Stormy on the front steps of the White House tomorrow and it would not be considered “wrongdoing”. Could be unseemly, probably even unwatchable but it would not be wrongdoing.

I’m not sure that Trump using his own money to hush a paid sex worker is any worse than Congress using taxpayer money to hush up interns and staffers.

But - Woman spanks President already Trumps man bites dog.

The other issue with the hush money is that Cohen claims it was from his own funds and has not been reimbursed, which make it an illegal campaign contribution as well.

Which probably voids the NDA as well.

And why does he claim she owes him twenty million?
The real answer - it doesn’t matter. The MAGATs Just Know he’s telling the Truth even if it changes from minute to minute.

Although he’s since denied that the tape we’ve all seen even exists.

What’s worse here is the coverup, the (alleged) intimidation, the thuggish attempt to silence, and most of all the violation of campaign finance laws.

Melanoma is a seasoned pro. She understands that she won’t get her payout if she leaves him or complains. And if she does kick him to the curb her parents will be deported and her immigration irregularities will be investigated.

Nope. She’s going to hang on, spend as much of his money as she can, and wait for him to dump her.

It has really gotten pathetic. From hope and change to wishing on a star…

I know it’s Shah but I read Shh.

Kismet - they found and deserve each other.

I’m envisioning that his wife is threatening to leave if he continues to drag her embarrassment out for months over Twitter. Any escalation on his part makes that more and more likely, whether he denies or doubles down. So, maybe he’s trying to save himself a big divorce settlement that would not be constrained by the pre-nup.

I assume you’d feel the same way if Obama did this?

Agree. I think Melania is holding the cards now. I’m absolutely certain she has a pre-nup but I’ve seen lawyers discussing the possibility of a humiliation clause ( though they have to be raising the bar really high to be going over and above what she experiences on a daily basis ) but even if she didn’t have the clause, an affair is one thing and a divorce is another. Especially one in which she has everyone’s sympathy. I don’t know who her current PR person is but they are good. They’ve re-created her image from dumb arm candy to an almost Jacky Kennedy like object of sympathy. ( think of the clothes she’s been wearing recently).
The deck is being reshuffled. She’ll stay till the end of the presidency if he agrees to make all the affairs go away and she gets a bigger pay out. As an extra bonus, she apparently doesnt have to touch him anymore.

Well, it is an agreement to marry The Donald, so yes. Intrinsically so.

I was going to make a joke, but the more I think about it, the more gross and depressing it is.

My thinking goes that if anything brings fucking Trump down, it’ll be none of the things that should (look at how many such things are now water under the bridge), but this could be a perfect storm, if you’ll pardon the pun.

All that other stuff is too dry for the average mug to give a shit; even the Mueller investigation, which is a tedious drip-feed of tidbits. But this thing with the porn star? Now that’s the sort of stuff that gets ratings, and this story has legs.

And except that Trump hasn’t said a word publicly – just his ‘spokesmen’ and his lawyers have.

For the scope of this argument, I consider his spokepeople and lawyers to be as good as his word.

It’d be a very strange defense of Trump indeed arguing that the claims of his spokespeople and lawyers are “Fake News”.
