Trump found GUILTY on all counts in hush money trial

It’s real, unless someone compromised C-Span, it’s their channel.

If it’s a thing that actually happened, then all I can say is… “me too, kid. Me too.”

That kid ‘is alright’; even he knows his dad is not to be taken seriously while defending 45.

This really is most depressing.

Why bother to prosecute Trump for crimes if getting convicted actually reinforces his support and brings in more money for him?

It’s like he has a superpower to triumph over any adversity. Yet the man himself is so useless.

Is it just that he represents, articulates and legitimises a lot of varied bigotry present in his followers?

From many creditable accounts, he’s losing support. I’m encouraged by that, and the point is that we show - despite all the lying and cheating - he will face consequences. No, it’s not for everything he’s done. However, we’ve always had a system that favors the rich and powerful. To see the first domino fall (with the expectation there will be more convictions in his future) is bringing a sense of relief and joy to many who have long been tired of seeing his behavior enabled or excused.

I don’t care if the rubes in his base or billionaires with more money than sense waste it on that loser. That means they’ll have less to spend on candidates who might have a chance of getting elected and screwing things up.

It is hilarious that the press instantly believes the accounting numbers of someone with 34 felonies in fraudulent accounting practices.

Yeah, some went from reporting the fundraising claims were fact to stating the candidate and RNC “say” fundraising spiked by a specific amount. Now even the NYT is reporting this is unconfirmed or based on pledges, and they won’t know for sure until filings are completed this month. :woman_shrugging:t4:

It’s the problem with the mainstream media on full display. Scream what the GOP wishes on Monday, investigate on Tuesday, walk it back or clarify on Wednesday (on page 10, after the obits), but never admit to - or apologize for - misleading and manipulating the public.

Hold onto it tightly, then; let no one steal it away from you.

Hope for a better tomorrow is what makes today inhabitable.
