i’m curious about this in-between time ( and the after times, should he lose the election in a well justified crushing landslide of defeat. ) no visiting his golf courses, no glad handing for overseas cash…? or will countries let him do whatever he wants, gripped by the fear of what he or his allies might do?

My mom was 97, and she wanted to punch Trump in the nose. Sadly she passed in January, because this would have made her very happy.
Mind you, her next remark would have been “Why isn’e he in jail nu? Toss him in and throw away the key!”

He actually said the words pretty well, in a “primary-school diction contest” sense of “well”. There’s an off-script bit in the middle, where the ellipses are, and he mostly formed coherent sentences there. And when he returned to the teleprompter he spoke clearly and acted like he understood the words.
His decline is yuge.

Edit: @Melizmatic I also applaud the outcome, just not the manipulated video lest we get accused of the creative story telling that defines MAGA news media outlets, but I must admit that video adds its own unique charm and chef’s kiss to the story.

Y’know, I don’t ever recall stating or even implying that was actual footage of people reacting to the good news; especially since the trial itself was not televised.
I was just expressing my own jubilation in a visual manner, as I am prone to do. Funny how some folks feel an inexplicable need to diminish that…
