And the shitty thing is all these campaign trips and weekly trips to his citadel in Florida are costing real taxpayer dollars. If I don’t want my tax dollars funding things like the military, I sure as hell don’t want them funding Trump’s campaign stops or weekend respites to Florida.
There’s a good reason he has already cost taxpayers more in his first month as president than Obama did in his entire first term. He’s on track to eclipse Obama and Biden’s entire two term spending by month 3.
Yet he had the nerve to constantly call out Obama for vacationing or playing golf.
See, this registering immediately thing is one of the few things I think was fully thought out before they lost everyone even remotely competent.
Free campaign funds?
Curtailed criticism?
Ability to create campaign rules that hamper your opponents’ ability to campaign after you’ve gotten a good head start (see death of net-neutrality for example)?
It’s too much of a bonanza for them simply to have stumbled into it. However much they suck as rulers, these guys do know how to game the system.
I just think it’s funny that she tried to think of a good example of spycraft and that’s all she could come up with. Not “I’m not James Bond” or “I’m not one of the agents from Mission: Impossible” but “I’m not a bumbling cyborg from a goofy 1980s cartoon.”
He took that back right after the election. It was the first of his reversals that should have made his followers lose their shit. “But I thought…! This was the whole reason that…!”
He’s still talking like he hasn’t been elected yet. He’s planning to do a campaign rally every fortnight. It’s like they don’t know the election is over, but obviously they do. I mean, yeah, he’s a candidate already for 2020, but it’s not that. He was such an empty candidate that now he’s been elected, they’ve got nothing, so he’s trying to rewind things back to re-run the 2016 campaign. That was the easy, successful bit - campaigning was the one thing Trump did know how to do, so Trump can’t leave it behind. (And, I suspect, he thinks it’ll help him in presidenting.) It’s insane. I can only hope that his supporters start getting tired of this, quickly, for all our sakes.
I don’t know if anyone has calculated his expenses for his bi-weekly campaign rallies. They’ve got to be even more expensive than his trips to Florida.

I wonder how much more it’ll end up being vs., say, this:
Should we fund the arts and humanities, or his holidays and campaign rallies?
Well, the cost of maintaining the security of Trump tower alone was going to exceed those budgets. Given how all of Trump’s proposed budget savings have been so pathetically small, I’m guessing that the various travel and security costs he’s imposing beyond the norm will pretty much eat up all money “saved” from the cuts he’s proposing across the board. The “savings” incurred in destroying the EPA? Probably less than the costs of the Florida trips. Etc.
Not available in my country. And Rose - Own Goal doesn’t help much, coz there’s plenty to choose from.
I’ll guess Josh Rose for the Mariners against Guangzhou? That was a great bit of finishing.
