The only way I can explain why they sit there and applaud while he says people like them are dirt is that they think he’s not talking about them. It reminds me of my sister-in-law’s late father, whose family were “illegal immigrants” from Mexico at a time when the subject wasn’t a hot-button issue. They got jobs, built a house, raised kids. Yet he would rail endlessly about those “damned wetbacks” and “Mexicans” who were entering the country illegally, lowering the property values, and stealing good American jobs.

The point I was trying to make is the apparent head of the leopards eating faces party is eating their faces, and it’s horrifying to think that anyone at that meeting might still vote for the leopard what’s eating their faces.
