It’s a wonderful idea though. The GOP reduced to about 60% of their current size as all of the militia freaks and conspiracy weirdos run off to Trump’s new party.

It’s something I’d even be prepared to donate towards.

I suggest an alternate name: National Socialist Trumpist Assholes’ Party, or NSTAP for short

I’m pretty sure Trump is going to be shocked by how quickly his “closest aides” abandon him now that he’s no longer a useful idiot.

Do it, Biff. Take the Know-Nothing 27% away from the GOP and the best, really the classiest math (believe me) means that you’ll come out on top bigly.

[ETA: I really thought he’d go with the “America First Party” to cash in on the historical connection with fascism. But I suppose one word is more effective than two when it comes to those mouth-breathers,]

Do it. We need to shake up this two party nonsense. The Democrats could definitely capitalize on a split base.

Bonus - possibly introduce a weighted voting system?

Trump could maybe get himself elected governor of Florida with a “third party”

The Reform Party elected Jesse Ventura governor of Minnesota

That was the peak of the third-party movement in the U.S. in the last century or so

Well I think it’s a wonderful idea. Question is how his base will respond to him leaving the White House just now. They were expecting him to declare martial law and initiate mass arrests of his political opponents today.

You better believe he’s willing and ready to go to the mattresses for the PP.

So kind of like Frankenstein, the GOP has unleashed a monster that will actively destroy it’s creator? I like it!

All the people who think this is a good idea would do well to take a close look at how Farage played the Conservatives by running a single-issue further-right party. Imagine this conversation:

Trump: “I’ve got 30% of your traditional supporters, and 10% of the Democrats traditional supporters. Give me X, and I’ll only run candidates in elections you’re going to lose anyway”

GOP: “Ok”

You don’t need to win elections to gain concessions.

I’m okay with it as long as he leads it from prison.
