Trump: 'I love to read.'

I think he’s jumped the shark this time.

The good news is that if Rot gets his way, grandma won’t be getting any more meals delivered!

The UK has 40 decommission aircraft carriers and the US 56?

What the hell do you do with them?

Skate park?

Museum ships, practice targets, scrap metal. A lot of those 56 ships no longer exist. I don’t know of any skate park carriers, but I did go to a rave aboard the USS Hornet.

I’m not much of a book reader (more of an online reader) but Trump has inspired me to give it a whirl. I’ve heard Andrew Jackson was just about the swellest president we’ve ever had – so I’ll read about him like Trump did.

I LUV Samantha Bee… She’s just a PG-13 version of Bill Maher !

I much prefer Bee, in part because she employs far less misogyny and Islamophobia.

Right said. And she knows much better than to provide a platform for that vile Yolo Minneapolis.

I’ve got to think Steve Bannon loves this classic:

Ha.

I hear tell that he just traded that one for this one with Trump:

Plenty of flak being directed your way, but if you are still around, I wonder if you could expand a bit on what you think makes a person an elitist? I struggle a lot with the idea. When I think of “the elite” I think of people either with huge amount of money or huge amount of influence, or well known members of their profession.

But it always seems like the politicians fighting against “the elite” are themselves what I would call “elite”. Trump was born into money and has never been anything but rich, for example. In Canada we have a politician who is has been a member of parliament for years who is a surgeon railing against “the elite”.

I hope I’m not coming across as smug - I’m not telling you that you are using the word wrong and I know better - I am genuinely trying to figure out what it is that bothers people about the elite when they complain about the elite. I see the way the anti-elite argument functions in politics, but I don’t often have the opportunity to talk to people who find the point of view personally meaningful.

Not all reading. Just any text that exceeds 140 characters.

No. She’s not. She’s not deeply Islamophobic, for example.

Museums, of course! Doh! I was trying to think of what they were used for and here I’ve visited the Hornet twice. Thanks for the head-slap.
