i could agree with you if it weren’t for the fact that words and their meanings actually matter. the words she said had a very specific and concrete meaning which was not at all irrelevant to the subject being discussed. neither the fox news talking heads nor you can eliminate the fact that the actual meaning and content of someone’s words matters and is, therefore, not irrelevant.

Would just like to note that I don’t think the undocumented employees thing is hypocrisy, exactly.
Similar to how they treat taxes, I think for him and others like him, it is an assertion of being above the law. Taxes (and labor law) is for little people.

It’s like how he plays golf. Golf is a game of finesse and precision. It has refined rules for a reason: any hacker can chop it up and get a high score. Only someone with a fine ability can observe the rules and also score low. It’s hard in order to make it so everyone can always improve. It’s a personal kaizen and lots of people love that kind of a challenge.
Trump is a known cheater. A total hacker. All golf is, to him, is yet one more way to keep his foot on the necks of people he’s playing with. How sad and missing the point is that? What’s the fun of it? It’s sick. Who the fuck lives their whole life just to squish other people? Only a megalomaniacal sociopath, that’s who.

Only way “off” applies is if it directly precedes “of a high building” or “a short pier with weights around his ankles”.
