My BMI is bigger than Trump’s for now (but falling, yay).
It’s probably because my hands are normal sized.

I agree. He’s a chubby guy who unabashedly loves fast food. A ton of Americans can relate to that.
I never would have predicted that Trump’s big “pivot” into popularity wouldn’t be based on his politics or his opinions, but by changing the conversation from his racism, bigotry, and embrace of white supremacism into a comparison of a fat guy eating KFC versus an overworked grandmother with pneumonia.
Given the number of senior Germans actively working against Hitler, such as Canaris, it’s possible to speculate that Hitler’s doctor was going as far towards doing the rest of the world a favour as he could without getting executed. Himmler’s doctor too was pretty good at keeping Treuer Heinrich from actually doing anything, encouraging his hypochondria and treating it with drugs that were likely to produce side effects that made it worse.
Some historians believe that Roosevelt’s failure to deal with Stalin’s expansionism was due to his failing health and helped bring about the Cold War - certainly Churchill was extremely worried about it. Whether the UK public would have allowed Roosevelt to be more interventionist is moot. My worry about Clinton is the reverse - that she would try to prove her fitness for office by military adventurism.
British journalists in the past tended to use the dagger rather than the sabre, but are getting just as confrontational as their US brethren. “Tired and emotional” is not tabloid language; it was invented by the Oxford-educated staff of Private Eye to indicate that libel-happy politicians were as pissed as newts, and on the same principles as Soviet journalism (where international relations could be calibrated on a scale from “warm, friendly and co-operative discussions” through to “firm and decisive deliberations” which meant “tanks are on the border with engines warm”.
He’s 13 stories high, at least.
So he’s a foot short for his weight? But really the “story” here is as much about how the medical definition of “obese” for men is much stricter than most people’s perception. It corresponds to what most people would characterize as “heavyset” or “overweight.” Men get a massive free ride (at least compared to women) as far as their weight is concerned, and most people wouldn’t use the term “obese” to describe a man until they were in what is defined as “morbidly obese” territory.
Yes, men get a massive free ride, but overweight is still overweight. Lifestyles are becoming more and more sedentary with less real food and more foodlike substances, so it’s easier to be heavier now than it ever was.
BMI is a pretty blunt tool. It’s odd that we’re still using it in it’s current form.
Like most americans, I’ll make this about me to a certain extent. I’m 5-9, I realize he’s 6-2, but he’s almost 100 pounds heavier than me. That’s a lot of excess weight to be carrying around, it’s extremely hard on your body, especially as you get older. I’ve been as high as 195 before I got that shit under control - you pick up a 25 pound object - like one of our dogs - and it really hits you that you were walking around with all that at one time…
I like the BMI - its inability to distinguish between athletically lean vs decrepit skinny-fat is unreasonably flattering
He’s three inches shorter than me and 80 pounds heavier.
He’s fat, that’s the only explanation.
Well, at 6-5/190, you’re pretty thin…
What size suit jacket do you wear? I have a friend that’s 6-5 though not quite as thin as you and he has a tough time finding certain things. He said a lot of the tall stuff is also made for people who weigh much more than he does…
I wear a 42 long, in theory. In practice, it’s either a 44 long or a 42 extra long.
Pants are 34 inseam, can get those anywhere.
I have a hard time finding shirts, because I have a 37/38 sleeve length and only a 16 or 16 1/2 neck. I have to order online, or take the one 16x37/38 that the store has in stock.
Shoes are another problem. I’m a 15 US, and most stores stop carrying shoes past 13.
At last, we’ve found something about Drumpf which is different from President Camacho!
“Shutup. Shutup.”
With the help of Dr Oz, he’s releasing his medical record. Maybe Trump can get Bernie Madoff to help him show his tax returns.
So close it’s uncanny.
And Windows XP!
ETA: Beat me to it. That’ll learn me to read the whole thread before posting.
Oh who am I kidding, no it won’t.
That’s really heavy!
He’s 70 and severely overweight - no wonder he hasn’t revealed any medical reports!
Thank you!
Note if we could just find the man a sense of shame there would be a point to showing up his lies and mendacity
