yeah, yeah, tRump… those avid fans just all had to go pee at the same time. they’ll be right back, totally entranced by your “weaving” mastery of the spoken word.
In that second video, what is the smoke from? Is that TFG’s visible vapors?
ETA: 27 second mark.
Brimstone wafting off his retirement plan.
I think his lacking performance is good news but not as great as one might be lead to believe. I find it hard to believe a lot of long time MAGA republicans will switch their votes to democrat even if they have a problem with Trump.
Gotta keep the momentum and pressure to get people involved, to go out to vote. It really matters, and of course it always matters but no way in hell should he be allowed to be president again.
Old man yells at crowds.
They almost certainly will not. But they may very well not vote at all.
Video was reversed. MAGA keeps moving backwards.
Bingo. If TFG’s former voters stay home, it helps Harris and crucial down-ballot races.
I don’t expect them to vote for Harris, but I do hope some will stay at home, lack the will to mail in their ballot, and so on.
“I want to explain something, the people you see leaving - because nobody ever leaves, and when they do…”
Yeah, that’s pure Trump: deny something’s happening, that the thing (you’re seeing, right in front of your face) never happens, then immediately admit that it does, in fact, happen (then go back to denying it happens).
“They’re not leaving! They’re just running to get good seats at my next rally.”
I expect it to, probably in this order.
- Become an Onion headline
- Be an actual quote
Not exactly a “always leave them wanting more” strategy, is it?
“Supposing an emperor was persuaded to wear a new suit of clothes whose material was so fine that, to the common eye, the clothes weren’t there. And suppose a little boy pointed out this fact in a loud, clear voice…
Then you have The Story of the Emperor Who Had No Clothes.
But if you knew a bit more, it would be The Story of the Boy Who Got a Well-Deserved Thrashing from His Dad for Being Rude to Royalty, and Was Locked Up.
Or The Story of the Whole Crowd Who Were Rounded Up by the Guards and Told ‘This Didn’t Happen, OK? Does Anyone Want to Argue?’
Or it could be a story of how a whole kingdom suddenly saw the benefit of the ‘new clothes’, and developed an enthusiasm for healthy sports in a lively and refreshing atmosphere which got many new adherents every year, and led to a recession caused by the collapse of the conventional clothing industry.
It could even be a story about The Great Pneumonia Epidemic of '09.
It all depends on how much you know.”― Terry Pratchett - Thief of Time
Another example of Sir Terry being incredibly perceptive about humanity… he was quite wise!
Tell me you’ve never been in a small southern town without telling me you’ve never been in a small southern town… There are always multiple churches (mostly protestant) and differing denominations, even in a very small community. You often see churches of differing denominations literally across the street from each other… it’s very much a joke about the high number of churches per square mile among many southerners.
We’re not all stupid dupes, unable to see past the charlatan. There was and is always been political and cultural diversity down here, and some of our best culture, best food, and most radical politics emanate from the south. If Trump goes down in flames, it’ll be because of southerners coming out to vote against him in large enough numbers to shift the election.
And yet even in those small southern towns you perceive as being uniform and apparently lily-white and all wearing red hats, plenty of people don’t buy his shit.
