Do you think that’s persuasive, or are you not actually here to have a discussion?
If you’d like to see my discussion, please read above. There’s plenty of meat there.
The way I see it, it boils down to this;
Some people see the word ‘pussy’ as sexist in every context.
I don’t.
I think we’ll have to agreeably disagree.
That’s an incorrect understanding of at least my position, and I can’t agree to disagree with someone who doesn’t understand the position they’re supposedly disagreeing with.
To better understand my position, you’ll need to examine why and how words are actually used in practice, and the relationship of meanings that these words have.
Are you willing to do that, or would you prefer to skip through life ignorant of these issues but somehow entitled to tell people how they’re allowed to react to them?
Read my posts above. It’s all in there.
Appeal to Etymology is a long registered informal fallacy. You keep using it, which nullifies all your protestations of wanting a rational discussion.
Not allowed. One of you must ragequit the Internet in order for this worldshakingly important issue to be satisfactorily resolved. Anything else is tone policing, or something. I’m not from the 21st century so I may be shaky on these details.
Welcome time traveler!
I never said in EVERY context, just in this context.
You clearly mean some people here. Please quote someone above whose words show they see the word that way. I don’t, so if I wrote something that indicates I do, I’d like to correct it.
vulgar or rude?
I suppose both, by human animal standards! But other animals rarely follow those standards (though I suppose some can be taught).
