You just haven’t been looking hard enough…
That’s what SHE said. (Hangs head in shame.)
Was not expecting Bloomberg to go with “vulgar audience taint.”
I agree with your assessment of the situation, especially the “wink wink” part.
I don’t see how you make the distinction that he didn’t mean to call Cruz a pussy, prompted by somebody else at the rally.
Hold up now, here in boing boing land we are supposed to respect ALL sexual minorities
I know, right? What is that?
Close, but no cigar?
I’ll try and meet you half way.
I respect the goat.
It’s not that many, and do you honestly think that they mean “filled with pus” in this case? I also doubt they mean a cat or an affectionate term for a woman…
And in this case, why would a term associated with lady parts be understood to mean wimp?
Also, shouldn’t @popobawa4u be a part of this conversation… when we get down to the parsing of the language, I feel as if they should be here, in the think of it.
Yes, which is what I’m trying to do here… why is a euphanism for female genitalia equate to weakness in men?
And, again, not here, though.
I think in this case, we’re dealing with a term that is rooted in its association with vaginas, and equating that to male weakness, as that’s the general use in cases of throwing it around as an insult.
Ok, that’s enough Boingboing this morning…
Female dogs get shit done.
Too late!
Damn your eyes!
At this pont, I’m wondering if it’s occurred to you how many women have replied to you stating that the word is an offensive gendered slur? It should give you pause. There have been many.
Ponder it for a few minutes.
@awjt: if any of those eyerolls are missing from the GIF bank, please deposit them forthwith!
I see what you did there.
I’m utterly unsurprised when Trump does his whole, “X is the case. I would never ever say that, but X is the case.” It’s totally par for the course for Trump. I’m just baffled that people just - at most - shake their heads amusedly that Trump, within a couple sentences, baldly stated something while explicitly claiming he wouldn’t say it. It’s like a cartoonish parody of hypocritical demagoguery.
I usually don’t do the pedantic thing, especially for typo/autocorrect issues, even less when the meaning is pretty clear. But etymology is just one of those words you want to I want people to get right.
