If Trump does actually release some report, even if it’s the same rehashed garbage, it means he’s doubling down on the Big Lie, which in turn means he will repeat all the bullshit in court, which will likely be perjury.

IANAL, but I don’t think that hindsight really excuses past crimes. “See, I was totally right you guys so all those crimes I committed are now retroactively ok” doesn’t seem like a sound legal theory.
Not that I expect anything at all to come from this.
