Death threats… Yes, that must be what it is.
Wow. I had forgotten how much of a crush I had on Susan Dey.
Remind us on your birthday to have a Susan Dey gif parade.
“I didn’t call them up,” Ms. Holliday said, the Daily Caller reported. “I just sent an email and said it had gotten out of hand. I was receiving death threats at this point. I was receiving death threats from back people, the N-word from black people. They were saying they were going to kill me.I looked. I read everything. […] I would push the button to see who was calling me because your face is there. You can look at their thing or whatever. I’m going, ‘Oh my God, there are black people calling me this!’ There were saying I should kill myself or, you know, someone should kill me — all over singing a song! I said, ‘I just wanted to sing!’”
You don’t give claims by Muslims of harassment the benefit of the doubt and assume they’re politically convenient fabrications, but you give credence to “sources say.” SMH.
I did give the Muslims the benefit of the doubt, except in the cases where they were shown to have perpetrated a hoax. When Ms. Seweid recanted her story, and told investigators that she “misguidedly made up the tale to get attention because she was having issues with her family at home.” should I persist and keep insisting that the attack happened?
Ms. Holliday and her publicist have confirmed the reports. But truthfully, I did not personally listen in to any of the threatening calls. And it is vaguely possible that she and Bocelli conspired to fake the threats for publicity or psyops. I have no reason to suspect that they are lying. Also, there is plenty of “disrupt by any means” rhetoric out there these days, and it does not seem unreasonable that the same people might be willing to make some threatening phone calls.
So, I could be wrong, and will change my view if I see some reliable, conflicting data. At this point both performers claim to have received such threats, and the threats do not seem out of place in the context of the current dialog. I will even go as far as saying that I would not at all be surprised if other listed performers at the event are getting the same treatment, especially in light of Mr. Bocelli being apparently apolitical, and Italian.
Talledega college president Billy Hawkins says " he and his family have received “very cruel” threats because of the inaugural controversy." http://www.al.com/news/anniston-gadsden/index.ssf/2017/01/talladega_college_band.html
Stay classy…
“The British pianist David Shenton was asked to accompany a singer in The Star-Spangled Banner at the inauguration of President Trump.
He asked if there was a fee and was told it’s an honour to be invited. He asked about his fare from New York to Washington DC and was told it would not be paid.
Needless to say, he politely declined.”

Apparently he should do it for the exposure. It’ll be uuuuge!
Seems legit. George HW Bush was hospitalised today.
I picked the wrong inauguration to quit sniffing glue.
This one’s captures Trump’s essence:
Read between the lines there and you’ll see that racist shitbags like Mike Cernovich are starting to try and distance themselves from overt neonazi behavior, possibly in an attempt to appeal more broadly and gain more approval for their horrible, horrible, horrible ideas.
“I mean, I’m not a nazi, you guys. I hate those goons. I mean, I’ve always hated those goons. Anyone who says otherwise is a liar! Now about those voting rights…”
Is it my favorite? “Wooden Nickelbacked Again”? I love how the lead singer wears actual ramen-noodle-blocks on his head.
No. Nothing so highfalutin as all that. This is Trump’s coronation we’re talking about, after all.
Did he use his real name? Readers of the Daily Stormer abide by bizarre superstitions.
I can’t believe you guys are still complaining about Nickelback.
Oh well, if it keeps you from remembering that we also exported Justin Bieber and Ted Cruz to you, I’ll take it.
