I’m sad he didn’t, I wanted to see the marine guard and usss fight it out over who gets to throw his ass to the curb.
So early in the transition he was shouting he hadn’t lost one could jump to the notion that trump actually believed ‘The Big Lie’ himself. (this for folks who care what is actually going on in the orange tumor’s mind)
I’m just not going to leave,” Trump reportedly told one aide in the days after he lost. “We’re never leaving,” he told another. “How can you leave when you won an election?” [link]
i suspect that if one has lied all one’s life, as much as cover for a mentally torturing father (Fred endlessly shouted at his children that there were only winners and utter losers), then there’s no distinction whatever in trump’s mind between his required delusion and reality …but i’m probably wrong.
Another empty boast from this blowhard grifter.
I truly wish he had pursued that “strategy.”
It was known at the time that he was reluctant, and the Biden team was apparently prepared to deal with the whiny, self-deluded problem. Images of him getting frog-marched out of the White House would almost have been too delicious for me to bear.
ALMOST.
Yeah. Followed by a proper progression of events, this might have ended a lot sooner and more satisfying.
For some reason I keep hearing the words of General Woundwort from Watership Down, “Come back! Come back, you fools! Come back! Come back and fight! Dogs aren’t dangerous!”
Yeah, I picture a bunch of secret service agents waiting for the MOMENT Biden takes the oath and then carrying him out of the oval.
a presidential squatter would have certainly been novel
That would’ve been slightly more dignified than what I wanted.
I was hoping to see him screaming like a baby while being dragged to a waiting van.
Possible headline: “Millionaire Found Squatting in Public Housing.”
He said so before the election even happened
Trump: ‘The only way we’re going to lose this election is if the election is rigged’
Even before the 2016 election happened.
promises, promises
So many of these factoids claim that they “were never reported before”, but I swear I read about this statement immediately after it happened, and most outlets dismissed it as exaggeration and propaganda by political opponents, just because there wasn’t a recording of it. I remember thinking “that sounds very much like Trump” at the time.
His whole term set a bad president.
