It should be pointed out that no serial killers were murdered by police when taken into custody. Not Ted Bundy. Not John Wayne Gacy. Not Jeffrey Dahmer. Killers who murdered dozens of people were peacefully arrested.
There was a story recently, I believe it was in Miami, about a doctor who was embezzling money, committed Medicare fraud, was dealing opioids. The police knocked on his door with a warrant, and he opened fire from inside the house. They did not return fire, and when he ran out of ammo, they rushed him and took him into custody without harm.

He still wields the world’s most potent force, his only potency now, literally the power of life and death over hundreds of millions internally and billions globally. Failure is unacceptable. But GOP senators won’t remove him even as he promotes insurrection and mass murder. “The only good Democrat is a dead Democrat,” he tweeted. GOPs seem just fine with that. Civil war rages now. Yikes.
