It drives me nuts that news reporters, after being lied to from morning until night every day for years still report things the white house said as if they were true. They ought to report white house claims with the truth sandwich method:
The white house often reports things that are untrue. The white house claims that Garrett Foster shot at a car before the driver shot back, killing him. This has yet to be independently verified.

I mean, appealing to scared, racist white people helped him in plausible-denial ways to get elected the first time, but it’s so blatant now!
