my father created a cocktail that is perfect for a hot summer evening.
he named it the turlington twister:
fill a tall glass with ice, splash 3-5 generous dashes of angostura bitters then wash that to the bottom with 2 oz. of a flavorful gin (tanqueray 10 works well for this), then place a long spoon into the glass and softly stir while filling the rest of the way with your favorite lemon/lime soda.
the combination of bitter and sweet coupled with the cleansing tang of juniper, mmmmmm . . .
