My father did some commercial art work for one of his hotels a decade or two back, Trump was best known for simply not paying his workers and hoping they wouldn’t sue.
And from what I understand, his “superior negotiating skills” are based upon his ability to be the most stubborn asshole involved in the deal; he basically wears people down by being uncooperative to the point that they just get tired of dealing with him.
Reminds me of Loius C.K. I refer you to “A 3-Year Old is a 3-Year Old”, A.K.A. “Pig Newtons” from the Hilarious tour.
In a way, I find it quite funny to observe post-election Trump and his deplorables. Still seeing a big conspiracy around every corner and playing the victim. Guess what - you already won. Trump can do pretty much whatever he wants at least in the next 2, probably 4 years. Actually, now he’ll HAVE to do something, that’s his job now. You can’t keep complaining about “those on top” when you’re there yourself (not that it was true in the first place with Trump). Oops.
Also, illegal voting is legal in California? Sooo… it’s not terribly illegal then, right?
You owe me a new monitor @beschizza. Mine melted from my look of frustrated despair.
I was talking about the debates, not the election.
Well putting in time and effort is the definition of hard work, being productive is something else entirely which is why Trump is incapable of working smarter over harder.

[/quote]Oh absolutely. Like I said, he is terrible at what he does - but look at how well he gets people to invest in him, especially rich white people.
I have to believe that at least some of the people who voted for Trump were choosing what they thought was the lesser of two evils. To conclude that roughly half of the the people who voted are members of the the alt-right is simply unthinkable.
What is the main difference between the right and the alt-right?
Both respond to the southern strategy and dogwhistles. Many posters here respond positively to dogwhistles, even. Repeating them uncritically even after being debunked to the poster in the past, cheerfully posting falsehoods.
Oohhh… they could have Irn Bru for people who don’t drink beverages with alcohol in them.
They certainly don’t care that Trump got white supremacists support. Just like this woman, they think if they ignore it, it will go away.
It certainly requires a monumental amount of effort to convince people you’re a whole heck of a lot better at literally anything than you actually are… so I guess in that respect Trump is a hard worker.
Nailed it. I would equate the furor over voter fraud as a massive case of concern driving trollies. If you really care about voter fraud, the best way to fight it is to increase legitimate voter turnout; essentially, drowning out any fraudulent voters who may squeak through the system. Instead, the people who voice the most passionate concern about voter fraud use methods to suppress voter turnout by reducing the polling sites/access/hours, often selectively. Don’t even get started with proposals that REALLY drive voter participation, like automatic voter registration, early voting, or gasp vote-by-mail.
Can’t? Or don’t want to?
How is one to get out?
Walk south until one’s feet are wet?
(East works, too.)
Honestly, I don’t understand why she would think anyone in the country “illegally” would even want to go near a polling place…millions even.
The Conch Republic counts as Not Florida enough for me!
The Keys are pretty awesome. I also like Miami, despite (or even because) of it’s flaws.
