I wonder if this will end up with the same result as the vaccine rhetoric. Trump bashed the COVID vaccines, his followers refused to get them, he later attempts to encourage the vaccines, but his followers are too entrenched in thinking the vaccines are bad/unnecessary and actually booed him.
Trump won’t get the results he wants for the 2020 election. Will his followers stay home this year’s election? If he keeps hammering on this, will they not vote in 2022? Even for the candidates he endorses?
If Trump wins some states next election, he won’t need voters on other states. The electors of other states will be simply handed to him because of the new state laws giving that power to the legislators, then he will be president again, legally. The damn democrats are sitting around in congress with their thumbs up their butts, getting nothing done. Our AG seems to be doing nothing to arrest the organizers of the coup. I am not happy about our chances against the fascists next time.

Fascism basically requires an enemy that is strong enough to be a threat but weak enough to be defeated. Or at least the concept of one.
